what is the meaning of the word cajole
Hi, I hear that word (cajole) many times but i didn't find it in the dictionary (American and British) so i thought it is a slang word.
is the word cajole slang? and what it means?

I'm surprised you can't find it. It is a real word and I can find it in Merriam-Webster dictionary.
It means to persuade or coax gently, but persistently.
"She cajoled him to stop smoking."
"He cajoled her into going to the concert."
