What is a difference between outgoing and sociable
I had a problem with some question on my exam:
Kitty's very ........ She goes out with her friends almost every day
a) outgoing
b) talkative
c) quiet
d) sociable
I wrote outgoing. My teacher told that it's wrong answer. When I asked what is a difference between sociable and outgoing she wasn't able to explain me that... -_-

Outgoing gives a picture of making new friends and being at ease meeting new people.
Sociable can also mean interacting easily with both old friends and new people. Since the sentence had to do with current friends, that is why your teacher would say this one is the correct answer.
In spoken English, few people would note the difference, however.
