The difference between gorgeous and beautiful

If you call someone 'beautiful' it just means they are pretty, if you say they are 'gorgeous' it means they are extremely pretty, it's much stronger. Usually used for women, but occasionally may be used for a very attractive looking man.
Could also be used to describe nature - "The mountains are gorgeous, aren't they?"

They both mean the same. "Gorgeous" is usually the stronger of the two. HOWEVER, it comes from the inflection in your voice:
SHE was gorgeous. She was GORGEOUS.
**You don't call men gorgeous or beautiful.

Gorgeous = Stronger version of Beautiful.
Also while beautiful is something has beauty but may not necessarily demand too much attention , gorgeous has a sense of being immensely attractive that causes a lot of attention to go to it.

No difference really. They are synonyms.
