what's the differences between identical with and identical to? Thanks

"identical" with "same", in which case it would make sense to use "with", since we say "same with", not "same to", do we not?
However, I find that "identical to" is more accurate, since I connote "identical" with "equal".

They are the same. You can use them both in basically any situation.
