what is "girlfriend" in korean?...can u translate it?

여자 = woman, female, girl
남자 = man, male, boy
친구 = friend
So...
여자친구 = girlfriend
남자친구 = boyfriend

I agree with Mojave and if you want to use slang or the abbreviated versions, just use the first element of each word 여자친구 (girlfriend) or 남자친구 (boyfriend) -->
girlfriend: 여친
boyfriend: 남친

girl-friend would be girl-friend in korean and even in any language it would be girlfriend it wont become boyfriend ;)
