What does "fensi" in Mandarin mean?
ta (1) + de + fen (3) si (2) + yi (3) + tu (1) po (4) + 5,000 ren (2).
Its _____ has already topped 5,000 persons.
Would you please tell me what "fensi" means in English? (It refers to a Twitter account.)

It is 粉絲 (traditional) or 粉丝 (simplified), pronounced 'fen3 si1', an English loanword 'fans'.
It is still pronounced fen3 si1 (rather than fen3) for just one fan.

Thank you very much, Keith. I had always thought that "fan" in Mandarin was "mi" (2). Thanks to you, Helen, and Misha, I have learned that young Chinese are now using many English words. I think that this is occurring in other languages, too.
