Quanto è differente il siciliano dall'italiano ?
Sicilian is so different from Italian, that it can be named Sicilian language.
Really, it is not enough knowing Italian in order to understand Sicilian (as well as all other dialects/languages there are in Italy).
Give a look to this dictionary (Sicilian-Italian) in order to have an idea about the differences
http://www.linguasiciliana.it/sicita.htm
(Furthermore if the written Sicilian is quite homogeneous it is not so for the spoken Sicilian).

Ciao,
Il siciliano è un dialetto parlato in Sicilia.
Il dialetto stretto è difficile da comprendere per un italiano.
