how to say 'don't say it' in Korean?
is '말 하지마요' the right way to say 'don't say it' formally? Thank you!

informal: 말하지 마.
informal: 말하지 마요. (말하지 마. + 요 = 말하지 마요).
This is a colloquial expression. It's more polite than 말하지 마 because you add 요 at the end, but it's NOT formal. .
formal: 말하지 마세요.
most formal (honorific): 말하지 마십시오.
