Is the spoken language named differently from its written form? the spoken language is 普通话. its written form, we call it 汉字. En général, vous devriez prendre le cours de 汉语, et vous auriez apprendre à parler 普通话 et écrire les 汉子。 :)

普通话=中国官话(old fashioned)=标准普通话=Mandarin.(标准 means standard) 汉语=Chinese. Most of the time it refers to Mandarin while sometimes it means all the languages in China. 中文 means Chinese or Chinese characters and passages.
