What is the difference between 아침 and 오전 ?

오전 : in the morinng
아침 : in the morining early and etc..
sometimes this word is used in expressing breakfast

해가 뜬 후부터 낮 12시까지를 오전이라고 합니다.
아침은 해가 뜬 후부터 오전이 되기까지 걸리는 시간의 약 반을 뜻합니다.
예를 들자면,
해가 아침 6시에 떴다면, 아침 6시부터 오전 9시까지가 아침이 됩니다.

It's equivalent to morning vs. a.m.
아침 is used more conversationally, whereas 오전 is used only to strictly mean the time period after midnight and before noon. Unlike what Joong-ho Nam said, 오전 can actually refer to the time PRIOR TO the sunrise as well. 3am is still 오전 3시, not 오후 3시
