Here is a rather extreme example:
it's a great, big, new, black, Chinese, leather handbag.
So what order should the adjectives be in?
First: your opinion [great, terrible, horrible]
size; big, small, tiny
age: old, new
shape; round, square
colour: black, red
origin: Greek, Chinese
material: plastic, metal
That's the theory, but in practice, it would not be a good idea to load the poor old noun with so many adjectives.
