What doest it mean?
What doest the manner "old sport" mean? I'm reading a book which is titled "The Great Gatsby" now and I don't know how to interpret this word.Help me,please :)

It means "Old friend"

"Why not let her alone, old sport?" remarked Gatsby. "You're the one that wanted to come to town."
Gatsby says this to an acquaintance of his. To "let her alone" or to "leave her alone" have the same meaning.
