Could anyone explain to me the meaning of the following expression "head west to" ?
The sentence is: ".... if you need to do any shopping, head west to the Rockefeller Center....."

Mado, In English, "to head" means to travel in a certain direction. So, literally, your sentence would read, "If you need to do any shopping, travel in a westerly direction from where you are now to the Rockefeller Center..."
