Is horse meet legal and usual for your country? Sorry, I'm a Russian boy from Siberia and I can't understand what's the matter with horse meat in the EU. In the Russian Federation there are a lot of nationality, some of them have a food from horse meat in their traditional dishes. It's fully legal and you may buy horse meat or sausages from it in usual a grocery store or a market. Also some nationalities eat dogs :) Where there are farms which may produce horse meat? Or is it from abroad? What about your country and you? Do you eat or did you try horse meat?

It is not legal in the USA to feed horse meat to people, but I think it is legal to include it in dog food that you can buy.

I have never seen horse meat to be sold in Russia though I myself bought venison meat in Tyumen (West Siberia, Russia). My parents told me they had bought Chinese tinned stewed horse meat (called the Great Wall) in the Soviet Union, but it was long ago and I don't remember it.

Hi, I haven't tried to eat horse meat but it's totally legal in France. And there are farms which product it. But the matter is that some people use horse meat instead of beef because it is cheaper. And the problem is engmish people don't usally eat horse meat but they discovered some meat in industrial food. And some people are shocked.... I hope it will help you to understand.
