please tell me the meaning of-'shukran ya duktur' in english
i got a reply by somebody in the form of 'shukran ya duktur'..can anyone tell me the meaning of it ..thanks

shukran [thanks] ya [a particle using when you'll address someone] duktuur [a doctor]

It means Thank you doctor. If the person that the sentance is being said to is not a praticant of medecine, it can ben a sign of familarity mixed with respect to the knowledge of the person.

yaa it is used for to calling someone. But unfortenetly, today use this word to the dead people. example, prophets, saints, demons and angels. You should invoke only allah. He is Only able to help and hurt and no one else. they can not answer supplication beacuse they are dead.
So use this word only to people who is alive, present and able to do.
