Will you bake us a cake? Ok, I will do it.
Will you make a cake for us? Yes, ok, I will make one.
Are you making the cake today? Yes I will make it.
Are you coming to the party, tonight? Yes, I will make it.

So che in italiano il verbo e' lo stesso--fare--ma in inglese "to make" vuol dire piu' fabbricare o creare, cioe' il atto di creare. "To do" vuol dire fare nel senso di eseguire qualcosa, o attuare qualcosa--un'azione invece della creazione o l'esecuzione di qualcosa. Spero che questa spiegazione ti aiuti un po....
