Hi Angel22, "Legit" is an informal way to use the formal word "legitimate". It means "real", "authentic". For instance: 1. Is this diamond legit, or is it fake? You would not use "legit" in formal English. You would use the word legitimate. 2. Is this diamond legitimate, or is it fake.
