"I began studying korean about two years ago, but my study has been off-and-on (했다안했다). Two weeks ago I decided to seriously get back into korean."
"I study korean by reading library books, using the computer, and practicing whenever I have the opportunity."
"What is the soonest up-coming holiday in Korea?"
Would you like to know the traditional holidays in Korea seriously?
(Lunar calendar must be understood to know exact date of a holiday)
(New years day),
(The first month of grand full moon day)
(Buddha's day)
(For celebrating harvest with full moon)
But usually we celebrate 설날 and 추석 but not usually others.
If you want more, try '한국의 명절' and you can find bunches of images and information as well.

Hi, I have no idea of the answer! but I have a small correction for you. " 어떻게 " is the right form for " how ". And one other thing, do you use this website: " http://www.talktomeinkorean.com/ " ? If you do not, I suggest to use this website for learning, a great reference for learning Korean :)
