Adverb question Copies of the popular children's book had been placed on bookstore shelves for not _______ several hours when they sold out? (A) quite (B) many (C) still (D) only I feel like both a and b could fit in the context but there can be only one answer. So i'm confused. What do you think?

Tay, There is no good answer here. The noun phrase "not quite several hours" is ungrammatical. Copies of the popular children's book had been placed on bookstore shelves for only several hours when they sold out.

It's A. You can't use many and several next to each other.
