but Someone told me I have to say "I went swimming yesterday morning"
Am I wrong?

It is not uncommon to say "last morning", but sometimes there is confusion as to which morning. Did the speaker mean today's morning, or yesterday's morning? It is not wrong to say that, but you might have to clarify which morning you are talking about.

You can say last week, last month, last Sunday etc but I have never heard anyone say "last morning" in this context. You should say "yesterday morning".
