Native speakers drop 'r' when speaking infinitive forms. We write: Você precisa comer mais para não adoecer! but you may hear as: Você precisa come mais pra não adoece! Ser and Estar can be very tricky in talking. Have you faced that? Writing: Eu estou cansado de esperar uma resposta. Não sou do tipo que espera. Speaking: Eu to cansado de espera uma resposta. Não so do tipo que espera. Estou -> reduces to 'to' Sou -> reduces to 'so' I hope it helped!

'Fugir' = infinitive "to escape" 'Fugi' is in the past "eu fugi" means "I escaped"
