Does 조금 mean a little amount( of something) or it is a small (thing)?

조금 means a little amount or a little bit. To be small or little (in size) is 작다.

조금 is like for an amount but if you want to say give me a little more of ___ in the blank i'll use 김치 maybe say
김치 좀 더 주세요 <<<which is like "Please give me a little more kimchi"
got it! Here is another example
물하고 김치 좀 더 주세요. <<<< maybe kimchi is so hot but good? >_< XD
useing 조금
돈이 조금 있으세요? <<< hear from a homeless person maybe
