To see: To witness or perceive something (usually with your eyes) that is happening at that moment. Examples: I see you; I see a cat in the tree; I saw my friend last night; Seeing is believing (common phrase); I see (a phrase saying you understand something) To watch: To pay attention to something in particular (also usually something visual). Examples: I watched the football game; Watch out! (means be careful/look out/etc); I watched my little brother last night (babysitting); Watch this! A watch can also be a watch on your wrist! Example: Nice watch, what time is it? haha I'm sure you knew that To look: This is similar to watch. It is to direct your gaze in a certain direction (not always focusing on one thing). Examples: Look at that guy; Look over there; I looked under the couch for my magazine; She looked away To look can also mean "to appear" a certain way. Examples: You look confused; you look good.

It's a little difficult to explain but I'll try my best. Looking is observing something with intention for example "look at my new shirt". Watching is observing something carefully, usually a moving object(s) for example "i watch tv" or "watch out for cars". Seeing is just plain observing something with no connotation or intention for example "I see a bird".

Watch - Usually happens over a period of time. watching tv, watching a football game, watching my neighbors dog while they are on vacation. Look - Used more for commands. Hey DongPan, look over there! Look at this! Would you look at that! Also when your searching for something. Im looking for the vacuum. See - I could see two dogs in the yard. Did you see that?
