They are the same.
Getting hitched is slang and has been around for long time.
Getting married is more common.
But if you do say it, people would understand what you mean.

Get hitched is slang. But both have the same meaning. Hitched also can mean the joining of two thing, usually cars and trailers or horses and plows. This is where the term comes from.
