Amelia:
I am wondering if you are certain of your spelling. Is it possible that you are asking about "quite"?
To say that a person is "quiet" is neither good nor bad as a trait; but merely indicates that
a person is not loud, or vocal, or talkative. It may be that the person is a passive personality or an Introvert, rather than an Extrovert.

quiet literally means not loud. When referring to a person being quiet that usually means they don't speak often. This is not necessarily a bad or good trait.
