Chose = cosa
quelque chose = algo

encore une fois, je ne prétend pas etre expert en la matière, mais d'aprés ma connaissance "algo"= "autre"/ "cosa"="chose".

"Algo" is like "something" and "cosa" is like "thing"
For example:
Hay algo => There is something
Hay una cosa => There is a thing
