I think your question is "what can I do it improve?" The same way you improve at any skill - practice, practice practice.
The thing is, you need to practice the right things. It's not going to help you become a better basketball player if you practice kicking a soccer ball, right?
The first thing is to start with easier listening and build up. I'd suggest listening to things in which you can understand at least 75-85% of the words. If it's too difficult, you'll just give up and say "it's too hard." If it's too easy, you may be bored.
You could try a website like www.breakingnewsenglish.com/. Begin at the easiest level, build some vocabulary and do the listening exercise, then advance to the next. Each level has audio. http://www.newsinlevels.com is similar, but it only has audio at the third level (as a video) you can watch to practice your listening with this content.
