what is the meaning of the marathi word 'ahai' in english?

Please confirm the spelling is correct.
If it's AAI or AAY (as per pronounciation) = then it's MOTHER.
if it's AAHE = is / be

Hi Martha I really would like you to spell it correctly for me beacause if you mean "aai" then it means "mother" but if you mean"aahe" then it has a different meaning . It actually means "to exist", like when i use it as "Mi Ithe aahe" meaning "I am here" same ways if i say "Mi tithe aahe" meaning "I am there". So hope you have your answer.Thanks and have fun
