why we use 场?whaat is your reason?plz

场 here is a quantifier and it's used to describe what has happened...
like 一场雪,一场雨,一场车祸,一场梦...

Maybe becoz ancient Chinese think the snow weather is grand or magnificent .We chinese usuallu use the quantifier“场” to describe something grand~
