Read this from Left to Right, because each box follows in sequence from Left to Right
About 60% of English words have Latin roots. about 20% of English words have Greek Roots. That is why most information about Roots gives references to "Greek and Latin" roots.
For example, consider the word AEROSPACE. Any time you see the AE combination of Vowels, you can know that you are looking at a Greek Root, because only Greek Words have that combination.
For the sake of simplicity, you might wish to skip the study of Greek Roots until later, so that you can focus on the more common Latin Roots.
There are also Latin Prefixes (additions at the beginning of a Root) and Suffixes
(additions at the end of a Root).
Your knowledge will rapidly accelerate if you study these things.
