Conventional is something everybody has decided is the way to do something. The Internet if full of conventions -- things that people have agreed upon to get things done. Conventions can be changed.
Traditional is the way something has always been done in a culture (even in a business culture of a long-standing company), so people don't question or challenge it, they just do it. Traditions are usually not changed. :)
