zhāng (张) = measure word for flat things, like paper sheets and tables
běn (本) = measure word for books

yī zhāng you can use it like yi zhang zhi meaning one piece of paper
yī běn you can use it like yi ben shu meaning one book
yi zhang use as to modify something is single and which can be used to make up something
yi ben usually ues to modify a whole thing.

yi zhang is a piece of paper. yi ben is about many pieces of paper make up a book .
