Can anyone explain the difference of these words? このことばは誰か差異の説き明かしますか。
道路
車道
通り

Strictly speaking, 道路 seems to be defined by the law.

but Japanese commoners like me would imagine 道路as an asphalted road for both cars and people. 道路 includes 車道 and 通り.
車道 is very specific. It means where cars, bikes run, while歩道 is where we walk.
通り is usually like where you could see stores, people walking, and houses.
