four-date
In March Nirvana played a four-date Canadian tour, and then immediately went back into rehearsals.
Does "four-date"here have the same meaning as " four-day"?

It means they did four performances in Canada, probably in four different cities, on four different dates, but not necessarily consecutive dates.

I would have read it less literally as playing four shows, but not necessarily on four different days/dates.
This is a minor difference as very likely they were, in fact, on different days, anyway.
