How do you use "reward, award, praise and commend"? "Praise"is used more common in my thought,The teacher praised the boy for what he did. The children who get more praise will be more bright. I am not quite sure about the rest of words :reward for hard word.he rewarded me a big house. Commend and award are beyond my ability totally, would you give me some examples, thanks!

Award = a prize or other mark of recognition given in honour of an achievement. "The school awarded John with a medal for doing well in science." Commend = praise formally or officially. "He was commended by the judge for his courageous actions"
