私の日本語は良いと思うんです。 Hello everyone! I'm going to ask a Japanese friend if my Japanese is good, but I plan on being fancy and say it in Japanese! >:D I came up with the following sentence, 私の日本語は良いと思うんです。Can someone help me verify if the grammar is correct? Now, at first, I considered using 自分の日本語。 Would this be grammatically correct? Also, is んですか used correctly here? In my textbook, んですか。 is used for demanding an explanation. You could say I'm asking him to explain to me if my Japanese is good or not, right? Thank you, Kai

私の日本語は良いと思うんです is sentence is same as 私の日本語は良いと思うのです this is called Devoicing of vowels . OmoUNOdasu change OmoUNdasu ( UNO →UN ) at first please understand this phenomenon 思うのです = I think or I believe so your sentence is correct next 思うのですか this is grammarial perfect ok This mean try explain using your exmaple change into this phase ”私の日本語は良いと思うんですか” This translation in English will be that " Do you think my Japanese is good, you are kidding ! like this This case the speaker think his Japanese is not good at all but some body said your english is beautiful . then respence to use this phase ( ~のですか = んですか)so Iittle strong objection to others
