In Arabic language, is it correct to use 'wahid' in place of 'first'?
For example: "First, we make statue of Barney the T-Rex; second, we paint it purple."
Can I say "Wahid, we make statue of Barney the T-Rex; second, we paint it purple."?

Wahid  وحيد means lonely. So, you can't use it as "first".
If you want to say "first" you should use أولاً  "aw-walan" and second is ثانياً  "thanian".

if you want to say first you should say (awalan )

but when you want to say 'first' you should use اولا - awwalan .
