"solo" e "solamente"
C'è una differenza tra "solo" e "solamente" in italiano?
Posso dire le due frase:
Quest'estate viaggio solo in Italia.
Quest'estate viaggio solamente in Italia.

Ciao! e´ davvero una bella domanda! la differenza nella lingua parlata e´ minima!
Grammaticalmente, "solo" e´ un aggettivo: nel senso di unico, singolo! ; "solamente" e´ avverbio. Puoi usarli entrambi allo stesso modo, ad esempio: mangio solo verdura, mangio solamente verdura
Ciascuna delle due frasi e´ corretta.

"solo" is an adjective and "solamente" is an adverb. They are not completely interchangeable.
Quest'estate viaggio solo in Italia. = This summer I'll travel to Italy all alone (by myself, without anyone else) or This summer I'll only travel to Italy (only to that place and not to any other country).
Quest'estate viaggio solamente in Italia. = This summer I'll only travel to Italy (only to that place and not to any other country).
Usage examples:
Si sente solo = He feels lonely
Ho fatto tutto da solo = I did it all by myself
Sei solo/solamente uno stupido = You're only a fool
Dammi solo/solamente un minuto = Give me just a minute

solo: by myself
solamente: only (uniquely).
The expression 'mangio solo verdura' is actually a rephrasing opf the correct
expression: 'mangio SOLTANTO verdura' (in this case 'soltanto' is the best choice!).
Usually /soltanto/ is a better replacement for /solamente/.
