Esos países estan en el meriodional parte del continente africano.
Is the structure of this sentence correct? I am not sure if the words 'septentrional' and 'meridional' are masculine or feminine.

Hi James,
'Esos países están (situados) en la parte meridional del continente africano'. The word 'meridional' works as an adjective. In this case, it does not change its form.
As a noun, it would be: 'el meridiano'.
e.g. 'El meridiano de Greenwich'
Hope this helps :)
