它们是一样的，但一般都用前面，很少听到前边。

前面 and 前边 means pretty much the same. 前 front, 边 edge, 面 surface, 前面 or 前边 at / in / on the front area . Which one should be used is just a personal preference. Hope my explanation helps.

They almost express in the same way.The words meaning is similar.They are synonym.
前面：
1.接近正面的空间；空间或位置靠前的部分。
2.次序靠前的部分；文章或讲话中先于现在所叙述的部分。
前边：
