Both are conjugations of the verb "poder".
Poder (Conditional mood)
Yo podría = I could (as in I could go now or later)
Tú podrías = you could
Él podría = he could
Nosotros podríamos = we could
Ustedes podrían = you (plural) could
Ellos podrían = they could.
Poder imperfective past.
Yo podía = I could (as in "I could have been there")
Tú podías = you could
Él podía = he could
Nosotros podíamos = we could
Ustedes podían = you (plural) could
Ellos podían = they could.
Examples:
¿Ella podía trabajar ayer? = could she work yesterday?
Hay cosas que podía hacer hace años, pero ya no = there are things I could do years ago, but not anymore.
Él podría llamar en cualquier momento = he could call any minute.
Yo podría ayudarte si tú me ayudas = I could help you if you help me.
I hope this helps.
