What's the difference between "nahe" and "neben"?

Nahe can mean close by, nearby, in terms of distance. e.g. Die Schule ist in der Nähe des Supermarktes - "the school is near the supermarket"
Neben means beside. e.g. Der Tisch ist neben dem Stuhl - "the table is beside the chair"
