When to use Ask,when to have an Inquire and when to use Qustion?

To inquire and to ask a question are the same. An inquiry is more formal, generally speaking.
And inquisitive look and a questioning look are the same, although 'inquisitive' usually infers curiosity, whereas 'questioning' often infers some sort of disbelief or suspicion.
