what does "have me sent to a cracker factory" mean?
I read this in the book The Naked Face. When Moody wouldn't tell his secret, he said "You'd have me sent to a cracker factory if i told you. I always say if you're gonna shoot off your mouth, make sure it's loaded first."
What does that mean?
Thank you in advance :)

"Cracker factory" could refer to a mental asylum/psychiatric ward. I think cracker is a slang/derogatory term for someone mentally disabled.

I wouldn't worry about this phrase. It's a special case that you'll never hear again.

Adrian's answer is correct.
Moody is trying to say
"my secret, would make you think I'm a crazy person.
I always believe that if you're going to say something, you have to make sure it's correct/accurate"
