Ok, so what is the Japanese word for ascend?
I mean ascend as in spiritual ascension, not physically lifting up. The Kanji would be great too. Google was no help on this one. That or I'm over thinking it.

The word for ascension (of Jesus Christ) in the Japanese version of the Bible is 昇天(しょうてん). However, the verb form 昇天する apparently also means "to die" and "to reach orgasm"...
It seems that many Japanese simply use the katakana word アセンション, sometimes loosely translated as 次元上昇 (じげんじょうしょう ascension to a different dimension)...
I would be curious to see what native speakers have to say on this topic!

No problem in posting two comments, the problem is that I couldn't understand what you wrote for my English. Dis it mean "What is the appropriate translation for the title "The Ascended"?

Sorry for the double post. The first time I asked it the comment wasn't showing up.

Thank you so much! What if one wanted to use it as a title? "The Ascended"
