This sentence confuses me!
Please help me, I don't really understand this sentence:
"She made an inadvertent error when she knocked over the nail polish."
Which way of interpretation is possible:
a> knocked over the nail polish and then she made an (another) error (inadvertently)
b> inadvertent error = knocked over the nail polish
Thank you :D

The error was knocking over the nail polish (inadvertently means the error was an accident).
I hope this helps.

Interpretation b is correct. The use of the word inadvertent to describe an error is very unnecessary and silly though.
