It's correct that we say "the address was/is given as", however, we'd normally NOT put a comma after the street number. Here's how we'd normally write the address;
1 ABC Square, Newtown, Old County, Postcode1234, Country.

You would normally say - the address is ...
the address is given as ... is perfectly fine though ... this might be said if there was some doubt about the addess, maybe the number or spelling is wrong ?
