Some pronunciation of Arabic words
Hi, ahlan wa sahlan, I just start learning Arabic these days, I love her script, however, I'm not sure about pronunciation of some words, could you please help me check out whether I have made mistakes? Shukran
who-man, you for male-anta, you for female-anti, I-anaa, he-huwa, she-hiya, Amin(boy's name)-أَمِينْamiin, girl name-أَمِينَةُamiinahu, نَبِيلٌ-nabiilun, هِنْدُ-hindu, what-maa, name-ism, your(male)name-ismuka, your name(girl)-ismuki, his name-ismuhu, her name-ismuhaa, my name-ismii, سَمِيٌ[samiiun?], سَمِيرَةُ[samiirahu??], كَريِم[karim?], إِلَى اللَّقَاءِ[ilai al-laqaa], I'm not so sure about the last expression
Could you guys recommend any websites that have pronunciation or latin transliteration of Arabic words, THANK YOU very much in advance.

Perfect , you are doing great.
Use Google translation website
Use this line in the address bar of your internet browser
http://translate.google.com/translate_tts?tl=ar&q=مرحبا
change the word مرحبا into any other ARABIC word.
In Arabic sounds we use those tiney letters ُ َ ِ
for short vowels and we use only three letters of our alphabet ا و ي for long vowels.
now if I am to write the English word "book" with Arabic letters it will be بُك
whereas "more" will be مْورـ
what about "moon" ?
Moon will be مـُون
Now as you can see the sound of و proceeded by Skoon ــْ gave us the kind of O in more
and for the smooth oo in moon we have و proceeded by ــُ
In fact both proceeding tiney vowels that belong to the proceeding letters effect how we pronounce و
Thus we can manage how to write "same" in the form of سَيم
here we produced an يـ sound different from that in "seed" سِيد
In brief the combination of an Arabic vowel ا و ي proceeded by a tiney vowel ُ _ َ _ ِ __ْ
will produce many different new vowels
consider this.
مَوزْ <> تُوت
here we have two different و sound by the help of the proceeding vowels that belong to proceeding letter.

fear فِيرْ
face فَيسْ
