You may say:
I've decided to retire from work - He decidido jubilarme
I've retired - Yo me he jubilado
I'm retiring - Me jubilaré/Me voy a jubilar
I am retired - Soy/estoy jubilado

El se ha pensionado as in retired person but if that person just stops working and gets another job so it can be: El renuncio a su trabajo.

Probably, the best option is: se ha jubilado -if that's the case (go on pension)
