What does Dieudonné mean in English?
I am reading the headlines of Le Monde.fr and I keep coming across this word Dieudonné and I don't know what it means in the context.
For example:
Charlie, Dieudonné, réseaux sociaux... la foire aux questions de la liberté d'expression.
Apologie du terrorisme: Dieudonné sera jugé en correctionnelle
This is ONLY about the translation of the word.

In this context, it doesn't 'mean' anything. It's the name of a French comedian, known for his controversial right-wing views. Translated from French, the word means 'God-given'.

Mais Dieudonné est surtout un prénom, et dans ce contexte c'est le prénom d'un humoriste français controversé.
